We are a crew of musicians, singers and volunteers with the name Police Symphony Orchestra. The word Police means Police nad Metují, a small town on the edge of the Czech Republic, where we come from. The orchestra was founded in 2010 by siblings Petra and Jakub Soukupovi. We play with taste and heart. Today there are already 150 of us and we are still rehearsing in the local monastery. In our repertoire you will find various musical genres – popular music, film soundtrack, rock, swing and classical. Joel Hána and Kryštof Koska are currently the conductors. The orchestral work is complemented by a choir led by choirmaster Lukáš Hrubeš and a quartet of soloist singers – Josef Fečo, Vendula Příhodová, Matěj Štrunc and Karolína Soukupová.
In March 2022, we decided to increase and start our own (about) 50-member choir. They are rehearsing in their homelands in Litomyšl and Police nad Metují. Choirmaster Lukáš Hrubeš brings them all together.
